Im Süden, which means In the South, is the second track on side one of Cluster II, the longest on that side at 12:50. The album was recorded in January 1972 at Star-Studio in Hamburg and produced by Cluster and Conny Plank for Brain. A retailer's description of the album, seen only in search results, describes hypnotic bass pulsations and repetitive guitar patterns moving calmly. The writers' credit on the track was not verified, so the credit here follows the band as a whole. No statement from Roedelius or Moebius about the piece was found.
