The Bite

"The Bite" was written by Wootton and is the fifth track on the album, 5:27 by Wikipedia and 5:26 on one lyrics site. It was recorded with the rest of the album in November and December 1970 at Pye Studios and was not a single. No comment from the band on its subject was found; one lyrics site describes it as the narrative of a Christian facing execution, which is that site's description and not the band's.
