Galactic Supermarket

The 1974 second Cosmic Jokers record, six numbered parts drawn from all-night sessions with Göttsching, Schulze, Dollase and Grosskopf.
Cosmic Jokers, 1974

The remastered edition lists six parts totalling 38:28. Its notes describe side one as funky, driving beats that drift into synthesizer-heavy ambience, and side two as built on prominent wah-wah guitar, tighter drums and processed vocals, a looser record than the first. The credits name Rosi Müller on vocals; Jürgen Dollase on vocals and keyboards; Manuel Göttsching on electric guitar; Klaus Schulze on synthesizer; Dieter Dierks on bass and mixing; Harald Grosskopf on drums; and Gille Lettmann on vocals and backing vocals. Prog Archives reviewers hear acid-laced guitar solos over Schulze's analog space bedding. The album was not credited to the Cosmic Jokers name on its first release.
