- DJ Muggs
Their fifth album, released on 25 April 2000 by Columbia, is split into Skull, a hip-hop disc, and Bones, a rap metal disc. All tracks were produced by DJ Muggs. Guests include Everlast, Eminem, N.O.R.E., Christian Olde Wolbers and Dino Cazares of Fear Factory, Brad Wilk of Rage Against the Machine, and Chino Moreno of Deftones. Eric Bobo played drums except on Can't Get the Best of Me, where he played bass. The lead single appeared on both discs, as (Rap) Superstar and (Rock) Superstar. The album reached five on the Billboard 200 and three in Canada, and it went platinum.
Rolling Stone gave it three and a half stars, and Mojo said it found the group sticking a finger in the air and finding the wind blowing toward thrash metal. NME gave it seven out of ten. For live shows the group used the members of Sen Dog's band SX-10 as backing musicians.
