Forever

Written by Dennis Wilson and Gregg Jakobson, Forever has Dennis on lead vocal, with Brian Wilson assisting on the arrangement. Dennis also played piano and tambourine and produced. Daryl Dragon played vibraphone, Red Rhodes played pedal steel guitar and Paul Beaver played Moog synthesizer. Brian called it the most harmonically beautiful thing he had ever heard, and a rock and roll prayer.

In 1972 American Spring, the duo of Marilyn Wilson and Diane Rovell, included it on their only album, produced by Brian Wilson. John Stamos sang a newly recorded version on the Beach Boys' 1992 album Summer in Paradise and performed it on at least three episodes of Full House. An a cappella version appeared on Hawthorne, CA in 2003, and session highlights, instrumental and a cappella versions came out on Feel Flows in 2021.
