Knock Knock

The third DJ Koze album: sixteen tracks of sampled soul, house and guests, made over more than four years.
DJ Koze, 2018

Koze produced every track. The charts in 2018 were: Germany 7, Austria 15, Switzerland 18, US Heatseekers 18 and Flanders 28. Metacritic scored it 85, Resident Advisor gave it 4.4 of 5, XLR8R 8.5 and the AV Club an A-minus; AllMusic, Rolling Stone, the Guardian, Mojo and Q gave four stars. The Guardian's Alexis Petridis wrote that he has a knack of coming up with tunes that are hugely appealing but never feel hackneyed or predictable, and Spin's Arielle Gordon that he makes music for so many giddy, dazed mornings after. "Bonfire" samples Bon Iver's "Calgary".
