Watch the Stars

The title track: a traditional song, track five of the album, at just over two minutes.
Dorris Henderson, from Watch the Stars (1967)

"Watch the Stars" is a traditional song, Roud folk song index number 18281, and the fifth track on the album, 2:13, recorded in London in January 1966 with Terry Brown producing. The sources do not say which of the players, Renbourn, Walker or Thompson, appear on this track, and no account of what the song is about, no chart history, live performances, covers or samples were found.

The song is short even by the standards of the record: the album fits fifteen tracks into about forty minutes, most of them between two and three minutes, so that it is a series of brief portraits, not extended arrangements.
