Eric Crespo recorded the album at Ruby Machine Studio in Portland and Brian Rosemeyer at Kingsize Soundlabs in Los Angeles. Christopher Kirkley arranged and produced it, Ben Parrish worked as production consultant, and John Dieterich mixed and mastered it. The vinyl edition is Sahel Sounds SS-078, with an insert carrying photos, credits and lyrics in French and English. Abindi and Illa are credited as writers.
Spin's Reed Jackson graded it B, noting that the first two albums were made in Niger, one live and one on a portable studio, and that this time the band flew to the United States. He heard the same formula of interlocking trebly guitars, with the bass far more pronounced than before, and picked out the call-and-response vocals of Ighre Massina and Imouha. Songlines gave it four stars and made it an Editor's Choice.
