Play on hypersongs

Masin produced it himself, with Alessandro Monti as assistant producer and the brass arranged with Marco Barel and Massimo Dona. Ermanno Velludo engineered. Masin remembers an old basement studio by a canal, where he could play while boats went past. The Korg Poly-800 is on every track, with piano, bowed bass, trumpet and tenor saxophone around it, and he first thought of the record as a very Venetian version of something vaguely jazz.

The label of the 1986 pressing read disc not for sale. Original copies now fetch four-figure prices. Masin reissued it in 2015, a 2016 Japanese CD on Suburbia added eight bonus tracks, and the Numero Group's fortieth-anniversary edition in 2026 adds five unheard pieces from the original sessions to its digital release. Rolling Stone Italia called it a splendid ambient gem, and the Biennale a unique work in ambient and experimental music.
