Credited to Group Doueh and Cheveu, it grew from a session in Dakhla set up by the Moroccan promoter Jose Kamal and overseen by JB of Born Bad Records, which co-produced it with the Hassani Music programme. Laurent de Boisgisson engineered it on gear from the One Two Pass It studio in Montreuil, and the LP came with a booklet by the journalist Jacques Denis. Bord de Mer was inspired by Maurice Dantec's novel Babylon Babies. Group Doueh first heard the final mix at the Fete de l'Humanite in September 2016.
Christgau called it the kind of wildly impolite guitar record you are lucky to find twice a year, and gave it an A. It won the Prix des Indes at La Cigale in Paris on 19 October 2017.
