Play on hypersongs

Pale Interior is the fourth track on Shade, voice and acoustic guitar with a faint slapback echo that, Pitchfork wrote, puts one more layer of distance between the singer and the listener. The Quietus noted that here her voice becomes the backing to the guitar's melody, and Beats Per Minute called it one of the loveliest and most delicate tracks Grouper has made. Like the rest of Shade it could date from any point between 2008 and 2021; she has not said where it was recorded.
