Tumast is the sixth track on Temet and opens the second side of the LP. The band wrote it, and recorded it in Paris in early 2017 with Patrick Votan and Eyadou Ag Leche. Rhythm Passport heard it open on a funky bass riff before driving rhythms and crackling guitar take over, and Qantara singled it out as incredibly funky. City Slang issued it as a one-track promo CD single in 2018.
It was already in the live set long before the album. Setlist.fm logs it as Toumast, first at the Alhambra in Paris on 8 March 2016 and last at the Monk Club in Rome on 2 April 2018. The upload in the hypersongs web is a live session recorded at Paste Studios, New York, on 4 May 2018, the day after the band played the David Rubinstein Atrium at Lincoln Center.
