Peach, Plum, Pear is the ninth track on The Milk-Eyed Mender. In the Guardian's 2025 ranking of her 20 best songs, Laura Snapes placed it 18th, writing that a rattling harpsichord drives an urgent, anxious account of attraction and rejection, with spurts of a children's choir making the hurt sting more. Pitchfork put it 197th on its list of the greatest songs of the 2000s, and NPR put it at 80 on its 2018 list of the 200 greatest songs by 21st-century women. Setlist.fm counts it as her most played song.
