Released in January 1975 on Island, Sunday's Child was more conventionally song-oriented than Inside Out. It includes My Baby Girl and Spencer the Rover, references to his young family, and Martyn later described the period as very happy. He produced it himself, with Richard Digby Smith as engineer, and played guitar, Moog and clavinet. Danny Thompson played double bass, Liam Genockey drums, Rabbit Bundrick piano and Keshav Sathe tabla.
