Chandler told the Red Bull Music Academy in 2005 that "Bar A Thym" was inspired by a night at a bar in Toulon, France, with Dennis Ferrer and others, and that the track incorporates a cowbell and the sound of a broken lamp. It was released as "Bar a Thym / Sunshine & Twilight" on Nite Grooves in 2005, and the 2024 King Street Sounds reissue lists the original at 7:24. The track may predate the single, since he talks about it at a 2005 lecture. Its writers are presumed to be Chandler; credits, studio, chart history, live history and samples were not verified.
