Alemye is the 1974 Amha Records LP, catalogue AELP 100, released in Ethiopia and pressed in Greece, with the Ibex Band arranging and accompanying. Most of its songs also came out on Amha 45s. The two that did not were Tezeta and Eyewdemamu. Ahmed himself is credited as writer of Gubelye, Alemye, Wogenie, Tezeta and Eyewdemamu, with other writers for the remaining four songs.

Buda Musique reissued it on CD in 2005 as Éthiopiques Volume 19. Writing in Pitchfork in 2005, Joe Tangari described the Ibex Band as a swirling, psychedelic backdrop of cycling, hypnotic bass lines with a sax and flute tandem, and said the 12-minute Tezeta alone made the album worth owning. Robert Christgau gave the CD a B+.
