Salvadora Robot

The follow-up to Desesperanza, a ten-track Soundway album that NPR heard as happy weirdness.
Meridian Brothers, 2014

Released
2014
Label
Soundway

NPR's First Listen found happy weirdness in it and set the band beside Frank Zappa, Sun Ra and the Mexican lounge pioneer Juan Garcia Esquivel. Soundway issued the LP as SNDWLP064, spread over four sides, with Álvarez credited as composer and recording engineer and an illustration by Alejandro Céspedes. A later review credited Desesperanza with birthing hypno-salsa.
