Miss E... So Addictive

The third album, home to Get Ur Freak On and One Minute Man.
Missy Elliott, 2001

Released
15 May 2001
Label
The Goldmind Inc., Elektra

The third album was released by The Goldmind Inc. and Elektra on 15 May 2001. It debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 with 250,000 copies, was certified platinum on 18 July 2001 and spent 43 weeks on the chart. The singles were One Minute Man, with Ludacris and Trina, Get Ur Freak On, 4 My People and Take Away.

The double video for Take Away and 4 My People appeared in the fall of 2001. The Take Away half was a tribute to Aaliyah, who had died that August. A 2002 remix by Basement Jaxx made 4 My People a club hit in the United States and Europe. The Guardian called the album a masterpiece and the high point of a run that defined a golden age for mainstream R&B, and noted that the E in the title was circled like an embossed pill.
