Sub Pop issued it in June 1991 as an EP in Europe and the United States. The EP added bonus tracks and songs that did not make the album, among them an alternate version of Check-Out Time. Trouser Press said the EP paired two tracks from the album with three previously unreleased ones, including a cover of The Money Will Roll Right In, from the catalogue of Bay Area hardcore pioneers Fang.

Rolling Stone said the single combines stomach-churning riffing with surf-rock guitar slides, and noted that it charted in the UK. Trouser Press singled out the riffs running through Let It Slide and Check-Out Time.
