Mulatu translates the title as My Own Memory, a fun, uptempo piece that celebrates the old times. It first appeared in 1969 as the flip side of a Girma Beyene single on Amha, then on Ethiopian Modern Instrumentals Hits and Ethiopiques 4, and Jarmusch put it in Broken Flowers. In 2010 Nas and Damian Marley used its bass line and melodies for As We Enter, the first single from Distant Relatives, with Mulatu credited as a writer. His current band plays it in a new arrangement with added solos. The upload in the hypersongs web is the original Amha recording, taken from the Strut retrospective.
