In April 2009 Arnalds composed and released a track a day for seven days, each made available within 24 hours from a dedicated site. The first went out on 13 April. Erased Tapes issued the set as a free download. Pitchfork described seven compositions, mainly for piano and strings, each created and posted on Twitter in a single day.

Brian Howe scored it 6.3 for Pitchfork in February 2010. He heard a mood of doomed romance and called Erla's Waltz a stately heartbreaker for solo piano. He also praised the Satie-like piano line of Romance. Arnalds repeated the format on camera two years later with Living Room Songs, and the track Allt Varð Hljótt was later used in The Hunger Games.
