Fell from the Sun is track nine of The Comforts of Madness, running 4:45, and the only song on it not written by the band. Kendra Smith wrote it, and Opal recorded it first. John Fryer produced and engineered the Pale Saints version at Blackwing Studios in London.
Reviewing the 2020 reissue, Pitchfork's Robert Ham pointed to it as the clearest sign of how the band balanced the sugar rush of their C86 influences with the hypnotic churn of psychedelia, reworking the gallop of the original.
