Days

Recorded over five months in a remote barn in New Paltz with Kevin McMahon, apart from Out of Tune, which Taveniere recorded at Rear House in Brooklyn. All the other songs were produced and engineered at Marcata. Greg Calbi mastered it at Sterling Sound. Drums were mostly played by Courtney, Mondanile and Samuel Franklin, with one track by Duguay, and Daniel Lopatin is credited with synth.

Domino's UK vinyl edition, a gatefold LP with a download voucher, is dated 17 October 2011, a day before the 18 October date given for the album. Its cover shows Row of New Tract Houses in Bayonne, New Jersey, a photograph from Dan Graham's series Homes for America. The Pitt News read the album as a daydream.

Pitchfork's Marc Masters called it cleaner, sharper and stronger than the debut, and said it was like a single idea divided into simple statements. He pointed to Mondanile's guitar on It's Real and Out of Tune, compared the band to early R.E.M., later Pavement and the Fresh and Onlys, and thought the seven-minute closer All the Same might be their first epic.

Pitchfork gave it 8.7 and Best New Music. AllMusic gave it 3.5 out of 5, the AV Club an A, Mojo 4 out of 5 and Q 4 out of 5. It made Pitchfork's 2011 list at number 9, Q and Uncut's at 24 and Paste's at 47.
