Out of Tune is the one song on Days not recorded at Marcata with Kevin McMahon. Jarvis Taveniere recorded it at Rear House in Brooklyn, and Rough Trade Publishing is credited as its publisher where the rest of the album is published by Domino. It also carries the only drum part on the record by Duguay, who had left the band before the Domino deal.
Pitchfork's Marc Masters was taken by Mondanile's guitar here, which he heard as sunrays mingling through branches and sparkling off pools.
