The last song on Want One is a ballad built on classically tinged piano chords and tender strings. Its lyrics allude to the story of David and Goliath, and the orchestral arrangements are by Wainwright, Marius de Vries, Chris Elliott and Maxim Moston.
The Guardian's Tim Adams called it extraordinary. David Bowie, speaking in 2010, called Wainwright simply one of the great writers. Wainwright performed it for the Live at the Fillmore video that accompanied Want Two, and in 2015 he chose it as one of eight songs that defined him. It also appears on the 2014 compilation Vibrate: The Best of Rufus Wainwright.
