Berman sings and plays guitar, piano and percussion, Malkmus guitar, backing vocals, piano, bass and percussion, Steve West and Bob Nastanovich drums, with Doug Easley on pedal steel and a whistle on "Living Waters" and David McCain on pink noise. Trouser Press said it possesses enough temperate charm to soothe even the most savage discordophile, and Drowned in Sound that it may very well be the greatest jam session of half-formed ideas ever made. Wikipedia credits the production to McCain, Easley and the band.
