Halstead wrote Alison, and it opens Souvlaki. It was the album's only single, released in February 1994. Halstead sings lead, with Goswell adding harmonies in the chorus. Goswell has said the label's rejection of the band's early songs pushed them to write it. Far Out's Aimee Ferrier described it as the drug-fuelled dream of an addict Halstead cannot get off his mind, while PopMatters reads it as being about two co-dependent young people on drugs.

The upload in the hypersongs web is titled Video.

Live

It appears in 390 logged Slowdive setlists. The band's last show before the split was at Lee's Palace in Toronto in May 1994. Mojave 3 played it in Barcelona in 2011, and Halstead played it solo at the Dakota Tavern in Toronto in October 2012 and put it on his Palindrome Hunches digital EP. Slowdive gave a short set in South America in June 2013, and Halstead and Goswell played it together in London that October.
