Blue Skied an' Clear is the eighth track on Pygmalion, the 1995 album on which Halstead composed everything. It appears in the film The Doom Generation from that year, whose director Gregg Araki is a fan of the band. Pitchfork's Nitsuh Abebe wrote in 2005 that the track alone was worth the price of the album. The 2002 Morr Music tribute compilation took its title from the song, and Manual covered it there.
