Incinerate was the lead single from Rather Ripped and the first song on which Moore sings. It is built on a conventional love-as-fire metaphor. Pitchfork's Brandon Stosuy described it as a catchy slip-and-slide single, and Rolling Stone's Rob Sheffield counted it among the album's highlights.
Claire Denis directed the video, a performance by the band filmed at Le Nouveau Casino in Paris before the 2006 tour.
