All the songs are by Clark except "Year of the Tiger", written with Sharon Clark. She designed the cover, photographed by Tina Tyrell. In the US it reached number 19 on the Billboard 200, six on the independent chart, 117 in the UK and 63 in Canada; it sold nearly 30,000 US copies in three weeks. Metacritic scores it 85, and NME gave it 9 out of 10 and the Telegraph five stars, while the BBC's Wyndham Wallace found it a little underwhelming. A 4AD Session EP, five songs recorded on September 6, 2011 at Shangri-La Studio in New York, followed on April 10, 2012.
