Sacred Songs from the Hills

The album, released in November 1960, came from sessions in Jacksonville, Florida in the spring of 1960, the same ones that produced the single "Rank Stranger" (Starday 506, August 1960). The band was Carter on lead vocal and guitar, Ralph on tenor vocal and banjo, Curley Lambert on baritone vocal and mandolin, Audie Webster on bass and Ralph Mayo on lead guitar. A track-by-track listing was not gathered. The songs are reissued in The Early Starday/King Years, 1958-1961, a four-CD set.
