Safe in the Hands of Love

Warp put it out as a surprise digital release on September 5, 2018, with a double LP and CD following on October 12. It was made at Paulie Sphere Sound in the Mount Washington district of Los Angeles; Justin Raisen co-produced, Mahssa Taghinia was executive producer, Luke Niccoli and Puce Mary added production, Paul Corley mixed and Dave Cooley mastered. Singles were "Noid" (July 24), "Licking an Orchid" with James K (August 29) and "Lifetime" (September 3).

Pitchfork's Jayson Greene wrote that it dwarfs everything the artist had released by several orders of magnitude; the Quietus called it magisterial. It appeared on year-end lists at Pitchfork (10), Crack (4), Treble (first among electronic records) and The Wire's critics' poll (50).
