"Sahara City" is the second track on Malesch, credited to the band like every track on it; its length is 7:51 on Wikipedia, 7:52 or 7:42 on MusicBrainz and 7:42 on Strawberry Bricks. Dig Me Out says it evokes the nightclub the band played on their first night in Egypt, with clock-like percussion and eerie synthesizer, then a heavy jam in the last two minutes. A fan biography says it opens with a long floating guitar glissando and ends with a fast heavy finale, with Guenther's bass prominent, and Strawberry Bricks says it drifts in stasis until it erupts.

MusicBrainz lists other versions of the title: 7:42 on the compilation Psychedelic Underground 7, 4:16 on a compilation of Last, Fragments and Live '74, a live 2:48 from Tokyo in 2007 on Shibuya Nights, and a live 3:47 from the Kesselhaus in Berlin in April 2013. Our upload is most likely the 1972 studio track, but its length has not been checked. No charts, video, covers or samples were found.
