The third single from Billion Dollar Babies reached 25 in the US and 10 in Britain. Cooper wrote the lyric about the reaction of his mother's church group to his stage act, and has said the point was that there were worse things he could do with his life and the gloves were off now. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame names it with School's Out among the songs that remain fist-pumping favorites.
Megadeth recorded it in 1989 for the film Shocker, released it as a single in January 1990, and produced it with Desmond Child. It was the only recording by the band as a trio, with Nick Menza newly on drums. Roger Daltrey, Slash and others covered it on the tribute album Humanary Stew in 1999. For his 2024 album Solid Rock Revival Cooper rewrote it as Now, I'm Mr. Nice Guy. The song appears in Dazed and Confused, and Cooper plays himself performing it in the film Dark Shadows. It appears in 2,213 of the 2,253 logged setlists from 1996 to 2026 that list songs.
