Pitchfork says Bad Brains first recorded the song in 1980, and it returns to the band's classic speed on the album, though the record never keeps that pace. A video was directed by Paul Rachman. The title presumably refers to the Rastafarian phrase "I and I".
Jeff Buckley covered it in 1992, BoySetsFire and Brother's Keeper in 1999, and Lamb of God in 2018. Danko Jones called it one of the greatest songs ever written as far as he is concerned. In July 2019 Bad Brains re-recorded it in New York City with Denzel Curry for the Spotify Singles series.
