Silver Soul

The band described Silver Soul as being about a dark sexual being. Its refrain, it is happening again, came from Twin Peaks, where the Giant warns Agent Cooper with the same words; Legrand remembered the line as she wrote. Daniel Franz drums, Graham Hill sings harmony, and the song's trailing organ runs straight into Norway. Legrand directed and edited its video, her first, of women painted silver spinning hula hoops, from a vision she had while writing.

In 2012 Kendrick Lamar and Jay Rock's Money Trees, produced by DJ Dahi, was built on it, with Legrand and Scally credited as writers; Money Trees went multi-platinum. Stereogum ranked Silver Soul the band's best song, and it is the second most played song of their career, still near the top of their set at the 2026 Queens show. The upload in the hypersongs web is a fan channel's copy of the album version.
