Agora is mostly sung in Portuguese and produced by Thomas Bartlett, who adds understated electronic touches. Pitchfork picked out O Que Não Foi Dito, a song she wrote for her father, and the title track, whose clattering beat nodded to Fiona Apple and whose delivery is partly spoken. Na Cara is a duet with the Brazilian singer Mart'nália over a double bass, and Yet Another Love Song is a light romance in the manner of Silly Love Songs. The reviewer was less taken with Cliché and Raio.

Pitchfork wrote that Agora was not her finest work and that for newcomers Tanto Tempo remained her most engaging set, but that Agora was a rapturous listen when her voice sat at the front.
