All in One was recorded in New York, Jamaica and the Brazilian state of Bahia and released on Verve. It is the least electronic of her albums. Its producers include Mark Ronson, John King, Daniel Jobim, Carlinhos Brown, Didi Gutman and Mario Caldato Jr.
Richard Elliott of PopMatters noted that the album opens with ambient noise and a Brazilian guitar, then moves through a bilingual take on Bob Marley's Sun Is Shining and her father's Bim Bom, which features Daniel Jobim. Stevie Wonder's The Real Thing was produced by Ronson with the Dap Kings. Elliott found the album less varied than her first three, and called it "a contented album by a contented woman".
