Poeme non epique

The nearly nineteen-minute last track of Nº2, a long vocal over instruments that build psychedelically.
Catherine Ribeiro, from Nº2 (1970)

"Poeme non epique" is track seven of Nº2, 18:34 on Progarchives and nearly nineteen minutes by other accounts. The Vinyl District's Neff calls it excellent: Ribeiro steps back while the instruments build psychedelically, then takes the front with controlled maximum wailing and growling, in stretches like Patty Waters; the Quietus's Brian Coney calls it the 18-minute centerpiece, a long primal vocal. Its writers were not stated in the sources reached, though the general pattern is Moullet's music and Ribeiro's lyrics.

Later versions are "Poeme non epique (suite), concerto alpin en 6 mouvements" on Le Rat debile et l'Homme des champs (25:22) and "Poeme non epique III, concerto alpin en 3 mouvements et un tombe" on Libertes ?. Ribeiro said the words are only an accessory. No account from her of this song, no chart history, video or covers were found, and whether our upload is the 1970 recording or a later one has not been established.
