I Love It

Patrik Berger sent Charli two beats. She wrote a song for each, one of which became "You're the One" and the other "I Love It". She knew she would not release it herself because she could not reconcile it with her sound. While Icona Pop were recording with Berger he played them her work on it, and they asked the producer Style of Eye for a rougher version, telling him they wanted the punkiness. Charli's original demo, Caroline Hjelt said, was more cute and cocky.

It was released in Sweden in May 2012 and reached number two. After it appeared on an episode of Girls in January 2013 it entered the Billboard Hot 100 and climbed to number seven, certified five times platinum. In June 2013 it entered the UK chart at number one, overtaking Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines". Charli does not appear in the video. Pitchfork named it Best New Music and put it at number 50 on its tracks of 2012, and Rolling Stone placed it at number 35.

Icona Pop and Charli first performed it together in April 2013 at South by Southwest. Buckcherry covered it in 2014, Moneybrother in 2017 and Molly Tuttle in 2025, and A. G. Cook sampled it on "Dread" in 2025.
