Prosthetic Boombox

Prosthetic Boombox came out on Record Makers and MGMT Records on June 18, 2021. Urango said the record took just over three years; it was partly made in a Paris studio, the same one where part of Black Boogie Neon had been recorded. Guests included The Avalanches, Andrew VanWyngarden of MGMT, Nicolas Godin and John Carroll Kirby, and Chairlift's Patrick Wimberly co-produced "Kid Born in Space", whose video was shot in Paris by Leonie Violain. NME's Elizabeth Aubrey described a mix of 1980s dance, funk and soul with a playful pop filter, Paste called it an electrifying, catchy and colorful debut and The Guardian gave it four stars. Producer and personnel credits for the whole album were not found.
