Farm

Farm is the first Dinosaur Jr. album on Jagjaguwar. It debuted at number 29 on the Billboard 200, their highest American placing, and sold more than fifty-one thousand copies there. Mascis wrote most of the songs and Barlow sings two, Your Weather and Imagination Blind. It was recorded and mixed at Bisquiteen with Justin Pizzoferrato and John Agnello and mastered by Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound.

First editions came with a white-vinyl 7 inch of I Don't Wanna Go There and Tarpit, recorded live for Pitchfork TV. The European version was mastered three decibels too loud, and PIAS Recordings recalled affected copies. The video for Over It, directed by Mark Locke, has the band riding BMX bikes and a skateboard and a brief cameo from Mike Watt.

Marc Masters scored it 8.5 in Pitchfork, writing that it is "even more compelling than Beyond".
