Over the Clover is the first track on Flora and runs 6:40. Daniel Bromfield wrote in Pitchfork that it opens with a leap-frog synth melody as playful as anything Yoshimura composed, interrupted by a loudly mixed saloon piano and an ungraceful grace note. Whenever it threatens to get lost, he said, it returns to its introductory riff, which he compared to Blink.
