The first album with Paul Menel on vocals, a more radio-minded record that still kept some progressive tracks.

Made after Nicholls left, Nomzamo was produced by Ken Thomas, with Barry Hammond engineering, Gerard Johnson mixing and Philipp Erb programming. Paul Menel sang and wrote the lyrics, Micky Groome added backing vocals, and Ray Carless played saxophone on Still Life. Orford played synthesizers including Mellotron, and he played Hammond B3 organ on Screaming.
The band's style at this point became increasingly commercial and radio-friendly, without much success, although the album still carried some progressive rock-style tracks. Promises (As the Years Go By) and Passing Strangers were issued as singles in 1987.
