"Something on Your Mind" opens In My Own Time, 3:23, written by Dino Valenti; Wikipedia links the credit to Chet Powers, and the point is unresolved. The arrangement is folk-country, with fiddle and pedal steel, and The Fader describes it as a consolation song to a friend with a burdened soul. Angel Olsen covered it in a slow piano arrangement for a Light in the Attic single paired with Dalton's original, on January 13, 2022. Setlist.fm shows Dalton playing it on May 1, 1971 at the Casino de Montreux for the Rose d'Or festival. No recording date, chart history or comment from her on the song was found.
