99.9%

99.9% was released by XL Recordings worldwide, Ultra Records in Canada and HW&W. It was recorded between 2014 and 2016, with no studios named, and produced by Kaytranada, except "Bus Ride" with Karriem Riggins and River Tiber and "Weight Off" with BadBadNotGood, who reportedly recorded about fifteen tracks with him, of which two were used. He told BBC Radio 1 in March 2016 that the title reflects his dissatisfaction and indecisiveness about his music. The cover art is by Ricardo Cavolo, who also made a browser game; scoring over 100 unlocked the bonus track "Nobody Beats the Kay". Samples include Delegation's "I Figure I'm Out of Your Life", Alan Hawkshaw's "Bermuda Triangle" and Gal Costa's "Pontos de Luz".

It reached number 73 on the Billboard 200, number 2 on Top Dance Albums, 24 in Canada and 31 in the UK, with a Metacritic score of 81 from 21 reviews. Pitchfork gave it 8.0, with Jonah Bromwich calling it a genre-defying stew of funk, soul, R&B, and beat and dance music, and AllMusic gave 4.5 stars, Mixmag 9 out of 10 and Record Collector 5 out of 5. Apple Music Canada ranked it first of 2016 and NME fifth.
