Rainmaker
The title track of his 1969 debut, an acoustic instrumental with thunderstorm sound effects.
Michael Chapman, from Rainmaker (1969)
It is track two of Rainmaker, produced by Gus Dudgeon, 3:39, and is an instrumental with thunderstorm sound effects. No explicit songwriting credit was retrieved, so Chapman is presumed. Song-Bar says it recalls a moment about three years earlier when Chapman, outside a Cornwall pub and unable to afford a drink, persuaded the landlord to let him play instead of standing in the rain; Wikipedia quotes him saying he would play guitar for half an hour rather than stay outside in the rain. Whether Chapman tied that to the title track himself is not confirmed. The 1990s compilation Still Making Rain is a pun on the debut.
