Big Boi performs it, with Sleepy Brown on guest vocals, and it was released on 25 August 2003 as a single from Speakerboxxx. It is credited to Big Boi, Sleepy Brown and Carlton Mahone, with Carl Mo and Big Boi producing. A live horn section, Hornz Unlimited, drives the instrumental. It debuted on the Hot 100 at 83 in the week ending 27 September 2003, then spent eight weeks at number two behind Hey Ya! before replacing it at number one on 14 February 2004 for one week. That made Outkast the first duo to replace itself at the summit. It was number five on the 2004 Billboard year-end chart.

Bryan Barber directed the video, which shows Big Boi and Sleepy Brown pulling into a garage that specializes in audio systems, with Fonzworth Bentley appearing, and it was designed to be watched in sequence with the Hey Ya! video. The Ringer's Shea Serrano wrote that the song announced to everyone that Big Boi was going to shine. In 2004 Kenny G and Earth, Wind & Fire covered it, and Big Boi performed it at the Super Bowl LIII halftime show.
