Flesh Balloon

Released on 24 June 1991 on 4AD, Flesh Balloon was the only Pale Saints release of that year. Hugh Jones produced it, and the first three tracks were recorded at Palladium Studios in Edinburgh and mixed at Roundhouse Studios in London. Toppermost notes that Hunted runs six and a half minutes in 5/8 time. Kinky Love also came out on a 7-inch single, backed with a demo of Hair Shoes.

The demo of Hair Shoes was recorded and mixed at Woodhouse Studios, with Naysmith producing. Pale Saints are credited with Hunted, Porpoise and Hair Shoes, while Kinky Love was written by Dave Ellingson.
