The release year is 1971 by Wikipedia and 1972 by popolvuh.nl for the Pilz pressing. Fricke played Moog, Fender Rhodes and the organ of the Stiftskirche Baumburg, Truelzsch African and Turkish percussion and cymbal, and Fiedler did the Moog mixdown; the title piece was made in Fricke and Fiedler's home studio and finished elsewhere, with a Fender piano in the final part. Gerhard Augustin said the album was made to showcase the Moog and that finding a label was hard, with at least 55 releases across countries and labels. AllMusic gave it four stars, and Fact ranked it third among the albums of the 1970s. A remastered Cherry Red vinyl reissue followed on October 24, 2025.
